Rest of Season-Jamestown Speedway
We had a major learning year! After this July 2nd post we basically tried new set ups each week. We went to Minot to race and had a big 4th place finish there. Car was fast and handled "real well." We are currently hoping for a great season in 2012 and look forward to our "pit life" once again!
July 2- Jamestown Speedway
Jason drew the # 6 for the night. Started the third heat on the pole! Well not the finish we were hoping for. Started off great and we had some issues and finished in 6. Top 4 transfered to feature. During the Consi Jason started 3rd, top 2 transfered to feature. Jason was doing great, handling and power wise we were on point. We see me just need a few more horsepower to get the edge. Jason finished 5. Good night overall.
June 25, 2011- Jamestown Speedway
Jason started the 3rd heat in the 4th row outside. Had a few great laps passing and "hooking " up. Ended up finishing tail end and having to run the consi. In the Consi top 4 transfer, Jason finished 9th. Overall it was a good night with a new set up once again. In the words of Jason on the way home "It drove like a modified!" We are looking forward to next week and to work on our overheating problem. Special thanks to Zinks house of speed for the help this week!
June 18, 2011 Jamestown Speedway
Jason drew #21 for heats. He was in the 3rd heat, started off great got it took hook up and was running in 4th position. However the track seemed to change and the car got tight. Jason finished 6. Unfortunately he had to start the Consi and finish top 4. Once again the car ran good but toward the end something changed(not really sure since I just watch). June 11, 2011- Jamestown Speedway
USMTS race night in Jamestown. Drew 14 which put us in the first heat. Was running great in 4th then ended up cutting a tire so pulled off with a few laps to go. During the Consi I started tail end, and finished tail end. There seems to be something amiss with the car. In Minneapolis for the week so will be working on it friday night and saturday.
June 4, 2011-Jamestown Speedway
Decent night of racing, we had some issues with overheating. We plan to make a fan shroud this week to hopefully resolve the issue. During the heat I pulled off during the last lap due to the heating issue. We all transfered to the feature where I started tail end(24); ended up finishing 16 for the night.
May 28,2011- Jamestown Speedway
First night of racing. We chose to start in the back for the heat. Had some issues with turning so we finished 8th and had to run the Consi. Started in the back for the Consi, had made some adjustments and it seemed to work better we ran one lap and then we had a caution. On that restart we blew the motor. So now the work begins on a new motor. (the wife is not very happy about this) Any extra help in the coming days would be helpful.
